Women of Fashion
When Holly Harnsongkram moved to New York to get her MFA, a sculptor she assisted part-time tipped her off to a job in Allure’s photo department, which she naturally assumed meant developing photos. Not quite, though she still got the job. These days Harnsongkram better channels her artistic nature as part of downtown menswear design collective Nom de Guerre. “I creative-direct the brand,” she says. “That includes designing the stores, art-directing our visual media, co-designing the clothing, and doing any writing.”
