HEAVY DUTY
The New York-based creative collective Nom de Guerre launched their downtown
Manhattan boutique back in 2003, and continue to collaborate on art and fashion
projects. Within their fashion line, Nom de Guerre have always put an emphasis on
utilitarian basics, so this year, they worked on an exclusive partnership with Buzz
Rickson, the Japanese vintage military jackets brand. Buzz Rickson jackets have
become the most authentic styles available today, and if you want to get your hands
on one, you’ll have to join a year-long waiting list. Using vintage stock fabrics and
machinery, their jackets are so bona fide that they’ve gained a devout following of
international fans. The exclusive collaboration of Buzz Rickson for Nom de Guerre is a
blanket insulated black jacket with Coyote trim.
